Depression: Improved from 74 to 50
PTSD: Improved from 59 to 19
Fatigue: Improved from 27 to 63
These results were significantly better than typical improvements seen with medication, which usually yield a 4-5 point improvement per measure.
SUMMARY
Patient: Survivor of sexual trauma
Condition: Severe anxiety, depression, PTSD, and sleep issues resulting in fatigue
Treatment: 20 Neurofeedback Sessions
The neurofeedback sessions had a profound impact on S's recovery from the effects of sexual trauma. The improvements in anxiety, depression, PTSD, and fatigue were substantial, providing S with a better quality of life and enhanced emotional well-being. The success observed in S's case was consistent across all participants in the study, demonstrating the effectiveness of neurofeedback therapy for survivors of trauma. This partnership with the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center highlights neurofeedback as a powerful tool for healing and recovery in trauma survivors.
